Welcome
Steve Mills
Quick review of minutes from last meeting on August 18. The new members and their positions were confirmed. Misty Brimhall agreed to cover the Treasurer position until a new one is appointed.
Future Events
David Hamblin would like to coordinate an Easter Messiah Sing a Long on Sunday, March 22, 2026. The Board felt that a contract between SCPAA and Mr. Hamblin would be beneficial to both to allow details to be solidified and expectations to be met from both sides. The motion to support the Singalong was made by Matt Bloomfield. SCPAA is solidly behind this event, but there are still many details to be hammered out.
On November 4, 2025, Ron Landes – a musician and entertainer from Utah, is presenting a program at the Snowflake HS auditorium. Mr. Landes works well with youth groups and it’s in the works to arrange schedules so that he is able to do this.
Nathan Pacheco is scheduled for a performance on November 28, 2025, and the HS auditorium. He has arranged pretty much everything himself ( and his team) and we discussed how SCPAA can best help him. Tickets and advertising were the main ideas.
Possible Valentine’s Day show with a cover band – James Taylor style – was also discussed, but not a solid at this time.
Some clarification as to board member duties
- Matt Bloomfield – in charge of domains for SCPAA
- Jayze Flake – he will be in charge of checking insurance status, as well as drafting a memorandum of understanding for the performance groups.
- Ashley Whiting – marketing, as well as social media.
Little Theater
Steve Mills would be very interested in bringing back the Little Theater.
To finish up the board meeting, Steve Mills talked about Visioning – what could truly happen with when everyone is in agreement with what the SCPAA board could accomplish. Some topics that were discussed: The following are ideas, not set in stone.
